Knot Springs Brand Identity

A social club for wellness lovers.
Situated quite literally in the center of Portland, the space was created to serve as a transformative, transcendental escape from urban life—a place to relax, get in tune with ones self, and to serve as a reminder of nature and the outdoors.
In order to evoke the feeling of calm and the outdoors, the Knot Springs brand is rooted in vintage representations of classic PNW nature imagery. The brand was inspired by the sensibility of old textbooks, topographical maps and field journals.
The brand included a robust series of illustrations and lockups inspired by carved wood and trail signage. We found that the flexible system could be applied to merch, collateral, wayfinding, and future art moments.
